Greg Peachey BSc Chairman and Founder of FREdome

FREdome Visionary Trust Founder Greg Peachey today attends the  first day of the mid-term conference of the Cradle to Cradle Network in Graz, Austria.

As the C2CN project reaches its mid-term,  this day will enable all who are interested to hear about ‘Cradle to Cradle’ developments throughout Europe and its use as a business concept. Workshops will look at the C2C concept from a consumers, producers, design and governance perspective.

The Conference will examine innovative possibilities offered by Cradle to Cradle as a philosophy and the C2C Network as a source of assistance in planning and funding can provide.

The key-note speech will be delivered by Michael Braungart (co-author of “C2C: Remaking the way we make things”).

Other speakers will include owners of some of the ‘good practice examples’ that have been identified by the network and that the network will be looking to help ‘export’ to the East of England over the course of 2011.

Greg’s participation has been sponsored by Cradle to Cradle Network Lead Partner, Suffolk County Council.

The FREdome Visionary Trust’s Operation OASIS project investigates the plausibility of kickstarting Carbon Cycling in arid regions of the world through tree planting and irrigation with waste water.

Based in the East of England, the OASIS project represents C2C thinking:  it is featured in the Cradle to Cradle best practice handbook, which will be distributed among the Europe-wide project membership and conference attendees.

What is Cradle to Cradle Network ?

The C2C network brings together EU regions to share and capitalise on regional good practice in implementing C2C principles in relation to waste prevention and management, and do so by producing sustainable solutions, economic development opportunities and social well-being.

Great to meet you at the conference Greg, and pleased that your ideas were welcomed there.
I always enjoy meeting people from other countries who have been working on C2C for much longer.
    Keep in touch!
